

His weekly telecast became an hourly show in 1978. His TV ministry soon expanded in many stations across the United States. His show used to have Pentecostal denominations, Southern gospel, inspirational music, black gospel, stories with preaching, and teaching. At the same time, he used to transmit a 30-minute telecast on local TV stations. It later became affiliated to the Assemblies of God. In the 1960s, he found a small church called the Family Worship Center in Louisiana’s Baton Rouge. A year later, the Assemblies of God-ordained Swaggart. Following that, he used to transmit in Christian radio stations. He started recording gospel music in 1960.
